Well, if TC logs the operation I don't understand how the name is not changed accordingly - considering your statements above.

I tried locking a file by opening it in another program, and the rename it with the MRT - I then get the error: "Error, could not rename the files shown in bold!"
The same if I try to rename a file in a folder where I don't have write access.

So I wonder what type of restriction there is on Geiri's "k:\Hallmark\2023\ folder?

I know is a little off topic, but i reiterate my wish to include a option (a la Everything) to enable inline change case on single file rename (Shift+F6), then repeatedly press Shift+F3 (a la MS Word) to cycle through all case forms.
