default keyboard shortcut to edit a filename?

Post by *michaelbeijer »

Hi guys,

I have grown a little tired of XYplorer and am test-driving TC.

How can I change the default keyboard shortcut to edit a filename to F2, so it's in line with what I would expect in Windows Explorer?

Also, what is the current shortcut to edit a filename when it is selected?

The default is Shift+F6, and it can be changed in Options > Misc > Redefine hotkeys (map command cm_RenameSingleFile or cm_RenameOnly to F2). Don't forget to apply the change with the green checkmark.

Cool, thanks!

PS: Any idea how to show file extensions after the actual filenames?

Options > Tabstops > Show file extensions > directly after filename.

PS: You should poke through the options and set things to the way you want.
