Maybe on your system, and depending on the software. No one's asking for an inefficient implementation, and I for one don't care about "resources".

if u want more and better toolbars why dont you use
Directory Opus or SpeedCommander?
i mean there r guys here like me that doesnt want the tc
to become slower because of a fancy toolbar because some
of us have to work with systems where we DO care about
ressources (at least I do )

imho the toolbar is perfect as it is - its fast - i can switch between different toolbars and theres nothing I would need
