Hello!
I've been using the paid version of Total Commander on Windows for about 10 years and Total Commander for Android for about 5 years. In both cases I really like it! I recently changed from a phone with Android 11 to a new phone (Motorola Edge 50 pro) with Android 15.
When using the media player in lock screen mode, the little TC media player controls were always visible on the lock screen with Android 11. Unfortunately, with Android 15 they just don't show up at all.
I checked this forum, tried to find an appropriate option both in TC as well as Android to make it show up, but couldn't find anything to make it work.
My question: am I missing a setting either in TC or Android 15 or is this a problem of my particular phone?

Re: No media player controls on Android 15 lock screen
I have just tested this on the Android 15 emulator since my phone (Galaxy S24) still hasn't received Android 15: In the player, I need to use the option "Use new notification style", otherwise I don't get any lock screen notification either. This is the default option, but older versions of Total Commander didn't have it.

Re: No media player controls on Android 15 lock screen
Thank you very much for the reply!
This option was actually checked already as default (and still nothing to be found on the lock screen in my case). But when I disabled it, I suddenly did get a single "play" button on the lock screen. And when I click on it, another small menu opens, in which I can then pause, skip forward and backward - just like what I was used to...

That's odd, I get the reverse on the Android 15 emulator. At least you can now choose one variant which works...

Re: No media player controls on Android 15 lock screen
The way things work is totally fine for me now. I just wanted to give you a bit more feedback, which might be helpful:
I did eventually find out that the new notification style was not visible because my Android 15 had "Medienvorschau" (media preview!?) disabled by default in the "Sperrbildschirm" (lock screen) settings. With that one (i.e. "Medienvorschau") switched on, the lock screen behaves as follows:
"Use new notification style" disabled:
- the fancy little window (with the picture of what I'm listening to in the background) and the main controls are directly visible
- additionally, underneath the new style media window, lock screen also shows the single "play" button with the additional small symbols once I click on it (similar to the old style in Android 11)
"Use new notification style" enabled:
- the fancy little windows (with the picture of what I'm listening to in the background) and the mail controls are directly visible
- the single "play" button is NOT visible
So basically what I interpret to be the new notification style is always visible - and switching that option off in TC results in that traditional button being added. That might be a slightly strange behavior, but for me it works totally fine.

Re: No media player controls on Android 15 lock screen
Indeed the "new notification style" directly creates a "media preview" (Medienvorschau) in the notification area (slide down from top when unlocked), which Android then also shows on the lock screen, while the old notification style creates my own custom notification with 3 buttons play/pause, next and previous track. It's a bit surprising that you get a "media preview" also when using the old notification style on Android 15, that's definitely not happening on Android 14.
