Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to run totalcmd on a Steam Deck?
I already SFTP into the Steam Deck from my Windows PC but there isn't a native file manager like totalcmd.
The default file manager on Steam Deck is Dolphin and it is not as robust as totalcmd.
Hoping to get some suggestions, thanks in advance.

Re: totalcmd in Steam Deck
It should work when you upload the Total Commander folder to it and then add totalcmd64.exe or totalcmd.exe as a non-steam game to Steam. It should be in "Add a game" - "Add a non-steam game".

As far as I understand it, SteamOS is based on Linux, and as such, it should be able to run pretty much anything Linux can run. For Windows programs such as TC you need an additional execution layer like Wine. It's possible that Wine is already preinstalled, but maybe it's not. Thanks ghisler for the quick reply, I did as suggested and it works!ghisler(Author) wrote: 2025-05-08, 09:04 UTC It should work when you upload the Total Commander folder to it and then add totalcmd64.exe or totalcmd.exe as a non-steam game to Steam. Additionally I had to set the compatibility layer to Proton 9.0-4 which I guess is Steam version of Wine. There's a bit of visual glitch but manageable.

Thanks as well to Dalai for the Wine suggestion.
