Synchronized lines in Compare by content window
Hi, i`d like to suggest a new feature for Compare by content.
If the two-line panel at the bottom is open, the lines in this panel should move synchronously with those in the Compare by content window.
This way, when you press the right cursor key several times in the Compare by content window, the text in the two-line panel should move to the right simultaneously and synchronously.
Btw, the icon to show/hide the two-line panel still doesn't have a keyboard shortcut or tooltip. Thanks.

The hotkey is F9, as described in the help.

Sorry, you're right. Actually what i wanted to indicate is that the button with tooltip "Vertical arrangement" is the one that doesn't have a keyboard shortcut assigned. Thanks.

There is indeed no hotkey for "Vertical arrangement", but the same is the case in the main Total Commander window.

This is a very different case, because i can assign a keyboard shortcut to cm_VerticalPanels and that is not possible with "Vertical arrangement" in Compare by content window.

It is possible to scroll in the bottom panel with a mouse wheel, but there are wheel-less mice too.
I had an idea to tie scroll in the bottom panel to the thumb in the horizontal scroll bar dragged with mouse.
This way the thumb would also give a graphical indication of the current position.
But this is a raw idea, may need futher thinking before implementation.

You can scroll with cursor left/right when the focus is on the bottom panel.

Still slow for very long lines, even with accelerating modifier keys. For example, when going to the right end from the leftmost character.ghisler(Author) wrote: 2025-05-18, 08:39 UTC You can scroll with cursor left/right when the focus is on the bottom panel.
There was a suggestion of jumping to next/previous difference within the line; but maybe implementation is not trivial.
Second thought. A scroll bar could be added to the lower pane, because the pane could be hidden if additional screen space was needed.
