Hi,
Is it possible to use the Batch Rename utility to rename subfolders that reside in the folders I select?
If I select the topmost folders, only these are displayed in the BR dialog (of course).
And the Ctrl-B shortcut only shows all files in the subfolders, but not the subfolder names themselves. Is there a configuration checkbox I may have overlooked to show the subfolder names too?
Thanks

Rename Folders in Subfolders using Batch Rename?

Re: Rename Folders in Subfolders using Batch Rename?
The MRT acts on what is selected - just like other operations (copy, move, deletion, packing and so on) do. If you want to rename subdirectories, you need to find a way to display them in one of the panels. This can be done via Find Files (Alt+F7) or, if it's just a handful of directories, via a list file loaded by the LOADLIST command.
If you only want to rename one or two levels of directories, you can define that in the Find Files window: Search in subdirectories (1 or 2 levels), and Advanced > Attributes > [X] Directory (leave the other attributes untouched).

Thanks. I can search/find the folders via Alt-F7, but then they're only displayed in the search window, not in the panel. Or can I send the found list to a panel somehow?

Oh, just found out how! The "Anwenden" button does that, yay
