Warning when copying folders with same name

Is it possible to receive warning if I copy folder into location where this folder name already exists ?

Why should there be any warning in this case ?
If the folder exists, files will be copied into it as everyone expects.

I have 2 folders with hundreds of subfolders. I want to copy all these subfolders to a destination folder but I want to avoid a situation where folders with same name but different contents are merged. I hope that makes sense.

I understand your reason,
but there is no such copy option in TC and other file manager I know.
You can use the TC function to Synchronize dirs.
It will show you the diffs between source and target.
This way you see the target contents and can continue or not.

Directory Opus has it, it's called 'Ask for confirmation before merging existing folders'.
It would be nice to have in TC.

TC should warn about existing the same named dir in target and give option to merge contents or skip or rename source (or target) dir. Many times happened unwanted merging or that I had to manually check if there was same named dir in target before copying. I think this kind of work the software should do, not man. So support.
