TC Send to pCloud not working on Android

Post by *krysztov »

As per viewtopic.php?p=476698#p476698
To upload files, you can do the following instead:
1. Install the pCloud Android app
2. In Total Commander, select the files (no folders, sorry) you want to upload
3. Long tap on one of the file names until the context menu appears
4. Choose "Send to" -> "Save to pCloud"
I should be able to send files with the pCloud app installed and connected/authentified.

However this does not work, pCloud issuing a toast message "missing authorization" twice, then a toast message "Starting upload", but nothing is transfered.
Same issue with "Send to */*"

- Both TC and pCloud are set to French language (I did not test with English)
- pCloud version 4.18.1
- TC version 3.62
- Copy to pCould Webdav server works

I understand this can be an issue with PCloud or the pCloud app but does anyone already had this issue and solved it ?

Please check whether "file://url" is checked in the "Send to" dialog. If yes, please uncheck it. pCloud may not be able to access file urls. If it is unchecked, you can try whether it works when checked, but probably not. If it doesn't work with either option, you will have to contact the pCloud developers.

Thanks for the reply but it doesn't work whether "file://url" is checked or unchecked

I tested the "Share "feature of Google "Files" app, and it works, no "missing authorization" toast message and transfer is completed.

I don't feel like contacting pCloud developers without being able to provide them with any technical details.

Moreover, if you don't want to investigate this issue, you should modify your post viewtopic.php?p=476698#p476698 as your recommendation does not work (as of today).

Yes, please contact the pCloud developers. They probably just support the Google files content URL, but on Google files can create that. Other apps create their own content urls, but it's easy to support them too.

Hi, pCloud devs replied with the following:
Le problème que vous rencontrez est dû au fait que l'application Total Commander tente d'accéder à votre compte pCloud en utilisant une méthode non entièrement prise en charge par le système de partage Android ou les autorisations utilisées pour les applications tierces.
Can you help ?

Unfortunately they don't write what's wrong, I'm just sending a regular content URL.
