If I disable or enable "Configuration" -> "Display" -> "Use long names (recommended" the the paths in the current path bar above the file panel and the path to the left of TC's command line are NOT changed until the folders in the path are re-entered.
Is that a bug or a missing feature.

This is intentional. I did experiment with re-reading all path parts, but it was too slow and didn't work in some cases (network problems).
