Request: Hotkey within Multi-Rename Tool

Post by *sdaughtry »

Forgive me if this exists - my review of the keyboard.txt and help file didn't reveal the answer

Within the Multi-Rename Tool, there is a droplist button to perform three tasks (Load name from file / Edit names / Configure editor). I would like the F4 hotkey from within the Multi-Rename Tool to execute the "Edit names" droplist option (to call my external editor to build the list of filenames to use for file renaming). The F4 hotkey is already in use to edit a file within the main Total Commander window... this is a continuance of that same paradigm. I thank you in advance for your consideration.

Honestly, 'Edit names' is one of the most powerful functions in the Multi-Rename Tool.
It's a shame that it is hidden that deeply.
Actually, it deserves to be in the front view by itself, let alone being associated with F4.

let alone being associated with F4.
Once again:
