True, but I simply asked if you searched the forum and considered what has been discussed before.

In the past, "index.php/Page_title" was used (default without CGI support).
After switching from PHP4 to PHP5 "index.php?title=Page_title" was used (default with CGI support).

As outlined at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Short_URL, it should be possible to use something like https://www.ghisler.ch/wiki/Total_Commander, but it requires server-side modifications.

Sure! That's why I put my proposition in a low-key question form like "What do you think about changing..."
I understand that someone, let's not call their name, will have to commit their time and efforts to that task, which may not be of the highest priority.
But still, this mission is definitely not impossible.
