2 Christian: posting your developing plans?
Hi!
Excuse me, Christian, but I think you should post your developing plans for the future TC builds (in any form you like).
This document will show the users the TC roadmap and will stop the endless questions ('when this feature will be implemented?' etc...).
There are many features, that you have promised to add to the next TC release, which are not included in TC 6.5/6.51. Can you bring some lite on these?
For example, I'm talking about
- (auto)creating the non-existant folders during file copy/move
- some kind of 'virtual' folders (like temporary panel plugin)
- persistant history etc...
What do you think about this?
Thank you.

Exactly!
If we are talking about voting, here you can see how the users are voting for gVim (text editor) features: http://www.vim.org/sponsor/vote_results.php
(this is just an example).

At the moment I'm still busy fixing bugs in TC 6.51. I'm also currently occupied with the beta test for the next version of Total Commander CE/Pocket.

Well, the request was about development plans and not bug fixes and about having a system of visitingghisler(Author) wrote:At the moment I'm still busy fixing bugs in TC 6.51. I'm also currently occupied with the beta test for the next version of Total Commander CE/Pocket.
and voting to decrease circulation of posts of the same nature! Your "general" plans we know, breaking
down the general into individual parts is what's missing!

And of course the request is not just about v6.52 but goes further down...

Christian knows if I respect him and his opinions or not. But here he didn'tWilhelm M. wrote:Hey pdavit,

We should respect that.
give us a clear answer. Although his comment implies a NO he neither supported
nor overruled the suggestion!
Maybe I didn't use enough emoticons to characterise to tone of my previous
post. Sorry!...

Well, discussion of new features in details gives the competition a competitive advantage, so I'm not sure whether this is such a good idea...

While I can see your point, I would have to say that from my point of view, you have no competition. There are programs out there that have features I wish TC had, but there are no programs out there that I would use instead of TC. Not even for a day!

2 robinsiebler:
Full agreement! BUT, you know, the agreement is trivial, because we all are declared TC fans. Although it's hard to believe - there are people out there who use other file managers and even prefer them over TC (Incredible, I know, but it's an empirical fact)! Therefore, Christians statement has a point.
