"TortoiseProc.exe /command:" is helpfull to use the subversion commands through the command line. So you can do all thing of the TortoiseSVN-Context menu with the StarterMenu (with a Hotkey!) of TC.

e.g.
TortoiseProc.exe /command:update /path:"%P" /notempfile /closeonend:0
updates the current TC directory. See details in the Tortoise-Help "Command line".

ps: join the Tortoise-Mailing-list and you will never miss an upgrade ;-)
Use the Explorer only to install TC...

You can also install the shelldetails tc plugin (look for it inthe tc web site), then create a new 'custom columns' view (in the options panel of tcmd, goto custom columns panel) and pick the Tortoise info you want to be shown in new columns (e.g. status or revision). This way you can have more svn detail visible beside the icons.
