Stop the display of network icons

Post by *romulous »

Hi,
I have the Uninstaller plugin for TC installed (from http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/uninstaller.html). You access it via the network neighbourhood. However, it is very slow to load once you go in to uninstall a program because it extracts the icons of each program installed when it populates the list. I thought that the setting in TC Options-Display 'EXE/LNK not on net' may stop TC from trying to load the icons, but it doesn't work. Either the icons are not EXE/LNK, or TC doesn't consider the network neighbourhood to be on a network. Does anyone know of a way to get TC to stop loading the icons here?

Thanks.

BTW: You could also try the Uninstall plugin.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Hi,

It does exactly the same thing as uninstaller, and is actually slower to display the icons than the uninstaller plugin, so it is of no help to me.
