Yeah, I agree the existing names are too similar. DirSizeGraph is more distinctive (or even DirSizeChart or VisualDirSize might do).I think DirSizeGraph sounds really good (thanks to Sheepdog).
VisualDirSize

Yes, it will add this feature.* Might it be possible to print the charts? Saving them as an image will be good enough for me
I was thinking about adding possibility to scan “lst” files (DiskDir extension) and display sizes from lst file. It could be something like loading report in commercial programs. What do you think? Could it be useful for someone?
Currently bar column width is 1/3 of total plugin window. It is best solution for most directories.* Enlarge the filename column in the bar chart
TC shows this already next to Drive selection list....* Show free space on the drive
I also think this is the best name for my pluginP.s. VisualDirSize sounds cool to me

I did not even know the DiskDir/DiskDirExtended plugin existedI was thinking about adding possibility to scan “lst” files (DiskDir extension) and display sizes from lst file. It could be something like loading report in commercial programs. What do you think? Could it be useful for someone?

I agree, it is fine for directories but not for *at least* my filenamesQuote:

I don't have the Drive selection list being displayed, so that is why I askedTC shows this already next to Drive selection list....

One more thing I have not been able to manage is to get your plugin to display from the root of a drive. In other words, I go to my comptuer, there I have the drives. E.g. I choose D and then CTRL-Q, I get "Search path not found". Is there something I need to configure for this?

Necessity is the Mother of InventionAlready found a shortcut (CTRL-L)

I know the problem but it seems to be TC limitation...One more thing I have not been able to manage is to get your plugin to display from the root of a drive. Could a solution be that we could select the folders and the plugin displays these folders as compared to one another?I know the problem but it seems to be TC limitation...
Thinking about it, the pleasant side effect of that would be, that we could compare several directories sizewise.
So if I select directory A1, B1, C1. The plugin would just show the sizes of these three directories. Great for comparison

Is that feasable?

@Botak
I've updated my plugin with language files. Plugin itself wasn't changed. To get it simply redownload DirSize from my site.
New beta will be released in mid October. You could expect:
Group by extension
Sort by number of files in directory
New plugin name "VisualDirSize" (thanks to SQUIRE for idea)
As I know, it's currently impossible because plugins get only path where cursor stay. It's doesn’t matter how many directories you selected, plugin show only directory where is cursor.So if I select directory A1, B1, C1. The plugin would just show the sizes of these three directories. Great for comparison

Hello
New beta version (beta2) is ready and as usual needs testing.
Note that it's beta and may have bugs. So do not use except for testing.

Get it here: http://members.lycos.co.uk/kajoj100/- Changed plugin name to "VisualDirSize". Previous name sounds too similar to other TC plugins and commercial programs
- Added possibility to sort by number of files in directory
- Added option to group by extension.
- Added report generation function.
- Added possibility to resize filename column in the bar chart.
- Changed default location for VisualDirSize.ini. Now visualdirsize.ini will be saved in the same directory as wincmd.ini If you don't like this location you can simply move the file to one of the following destinations:
* In a subdirectory called VisualDirSize relative to the directory where wincmd.ini is located
* Plugin directory
* Total Commander directory
- Added option to watch changes in currently scanned directory. (works like WatchDirs=1 in wincmd.ini)
- Fixed Plugin should works in systems older than WinXP
Great to see a new version come out of this plugin
The reports look great
Thanks for implementing the adjustable column width (though I had to search for it
)
On the mainprogram:
1. When moving the cursor up and down the filelist/folder list, the program hangs. I guess it is trying to read them all as I navigate upwards or downwards. I can't seem to stop it with ESC. It also starts showing the Search box as if I typed a letter to jump to a file or folder.
On the report:
1. right align all columns except name
2. Crash when I want to generate a report and choose a filename that already exist. Happened once, can't seem to reproduce it.
Those are my findings for now.
Regards,
RolandD

Danish translation for VisualDirsize 1.1 beta 2 can be downloaded from:

VisualDirsize still crashes TC if I open the config dialog for VisualDirsize and then put focus on any other window..
I miss translation options for the caption of the dialog boxes: "VisualDirsize configuration" and "Save VisualDirsize report".

@kajoj1:
Can you remove the ini-file from the archive please? It always overwrites the old one when installing, quite annoying.
@nevidimka:
You have encoded a. 7z archive, not a .zip, could cause some problems when unpacking.
I have uploaded your translation here:

kajoj1,
Some of the buttons in the Button bar are not visible, see bar.png.
Would it be possible to add an option to show the sizes of all directories recursively?
TIA
