[bug]Double-byte Character Folder Name Processing
Image: http://images5.theimagehosting.com/snap005286.png
I have a music dir contain some files named in localized character (Chinese Simplified), when I try to sync this dir with another empty dir, the file grouping in the check page before sync make me confused, two files which originally under 伴奏 folder now group with files in 伴奏\天\ subfolder .... fortunately, this problem don't affect the actual file processing, after sync, all files in the right place. Not every folder have this problem, anyone could confirm it?
OS ver. Windows XP SP2 with East Asia Language Support
TC ver. 6.53

Thanks for your bug report. To reproduce the problem, please send me the latin representation of these characters, so I can enter them with the IME and choose the right Chinese characters. Thanks!

Typing these file names is a time-consuming job, I pack it to a RAR package, you could download it from
http://rapidshare.de/files/11084558/TC_debug.rar.html
Please note that the problem only be triggered when sync the music folder with other one

I tested 6.54 public beta 1 and the result is similar.

additional info: In order to process Chinese GB2312 encoding filename easier, in my computer, the "Language for non-Unicode programs" in "Regional and Language Options" of "Control Panel" is "Chinese (PRC)"

I could reproduce the problem now: It only happens when the path/file name starts with a double byte character. I will correct it in TC 6.54 final. There will probably be a public beta 2 first with which you can test it.

Thanks for your feedback! Please let me know if you find any other double byte problems! Most of TC should work fine with them, but only users who use TC with a double byte language every day can find these problems...
