install and usage issues

Post by *batchman61 »

Hi,

using total-commander 6.55a under win2k sp4 with current patches.

When adding the plugin an error "Creating registry key failed." pops up a few times.

NokiaFS is available in Network Neighborhood, change Dir to NokiaFS raises the same error.

Able to change directories on A: and B: but nearly all Dirs are listed as containing a single file, in fact they contain lots of files.
A:\Gallery\Graphics seems to be the only Dir listed correctly.

Have not tried to perform file operations.

Closing TC takes a while and causes the same error.

Hello together! The link above doesn't work longer. I'm searching for an update of the plugin.
Have here a new Nokia E52. It works fine with the old Version.
But when I want to go back to the phone root, I got an Debug Error from the MS Visual C++ Debug Library.
Run-Time Check Failure #2 - Stack araound the variable 'sp_path' was corrupted. After retry I get an exception.
Could anyone help?

I think you can download version 0.0.2.0 r4 from here:

http://totalcmd.pl/download/wfx/ext/NokiaFS

I have not seen any newer version.

Is there a way to access file system of phone from Total Commander without Nokia PC Suite? There is standard Obex FTP service being used there, usual obex ftp clients can access it

Is a Unicode version of NokiaFS available?

Post by *otto-mueller »

Hello,

First thanks to the developer & Co of the NokiaFS wonderful plug-in. Great job!

My system:
- Windows 7 Pro
- Total Commander 7.56a
- NokiaFS v.0.0.2.0 r4
- Nokia PC-Suite 7.1.51.0
- Nokia N70 Cell Phone

My problem:
Some file and directory names with Unicode characters on the cell phone appear as question mark like "?????" if I access it via Total Commander, however in Windows Explorer they are displayed properly.

So my conclusion about this issue is, that the plug-in NokiaFS v.0.0.2.0 r4 does not support Unicode yet. Am I right?

It would be excellent if there exists a Unicode version of NokiaFS.

Thanks!

Greetings
Otto
