I've just tried to install the latest version of TC under the latest version of the Vista Beta from Microsoft (version 5384). When I click the executable, the process looks as if it is unpacking and preparing to install, but nothing happens after that: no errors, no messages, nothing.
I was wondering if anyone else was having this issue?

Good evening, AkiraXXX.
Exactly the same problem was reported in the German forum these days:
TC 6.54 final lässt sich nicht unter Vista 2 installieren => english title would be:
TC 6.54 final cannot be installed on Vista 2
Workarounds were reported as well.
Lefteous suggested to follow this procedure:
(which seems to be the long form of Diode's advice above )
+ unpack the installation archive tcmd654a.exe manually to a folder
+ unpack the install.cab inside the folder
+ move the files in the subfolder E (for English) up one folder level
+ this should be sufficient
+ now you only have to copy this folder including the subfolder LANGUAGE to your TC programme folder
Tody reported suggested a different procedure:
(which I will not translate, because I must admit, that I did not quite understand Tody's explanation, a little bit too colloquial and not precise enough from my point of view. But feel free to ask him for a translation.)
Kind regards,
Karl
