Bad copy

Post by *hard »

When I copy a set of folders from left to right, if some of the selected folders has permission restrictions so you can not access that folder then Total Commander copies everything but the restricted folder/s, wich are created empty with no error or alert.

Is there a way to config Total commander so that do not happen that way or instead an error occurs ?

Thanks again.

No, as far as I know.
TC is sometimes not very generous with error messages.
Especially the permission related ones.

Yes, but it is a very bad behavior because if don´t check that every thing is copied, you can lost data from that folders.

Some idea of how can I avoid this ?

Thanks.

You could try "Synchronize" instead. Just select the folders you'd like to copy and select "Commands/Synchronize Dir."

The advantage is that, after the synchronising prozess, the files and folders that could not be synchronised are shown in the window as "not equal". So that you can check for problems.
