[BUG]Alt+Shift+Letter always selects something in the menu

Post by *XPEHOPE3KA »

1. Bind some command to Alt+Shift+F.
2. Press it.
3. You will get your command fulfilled AND menu "File" selected.
4. Of course, English language should be used for testing (or any other menu which has a F* entry).

So the bug is that Shift isn't taken into account if to speak about main menu.

And if AltSearch=1 then the quicksearch window is opened and the remapped command is not executed at all :!:

In your case it is not a bug. Even not an inconsistance. It's up to user to set the hotkeys and to select quicksearch options and he should know what he is doing. Seems like qsearch options are of more priority...

IMHO it's the same thing. In both cases the Shift modifier key is being ignored.

Yes, by choosing AltSearch=1 I select a kind of general remapping of the Alt key, but that shouldn't mean that Shift+Alt has to be remapped.

Unfortunately it's not possible to prevent Windows from seeing the key in the menu. All you can do is to change the mnu file for your language to remove the & sign in front of the 'f'.
