Ok, I can make an option. "Do not calculate scrollbar size".
Do you need option "List of extensions for RTF mode" (in the first groupbox)? It will contain one ext "rtf" by default.
Sounds both like a good idea. :)

Note: translation of 1.5 still may change.

About bad NFO file:
it contains char #22 (16 hex), so it's not determined as text at all. Try to search for hex string "16" - you'll see it.

Ok.

It's a text…

:) But IT IS a text ! And it works ticking OEM by hand. The "Text" entry is ticked alright, so it's detected as text (maybe from the *.nfo extension ?)
- Not a big deal, but I wished to show you this five-legged sheep :D

- No problem about the translation, Paul and I stay tuned !

No - because Text mode is now default for all undetected files. Not binary mode, as in prev version.

Already added some strings..

What is 5-legged sheep?

Hm.. what is "sluggish"? :)
Please specify, what's wrong with scrolling?

:D Did you see such an animal already ? It's rare !

- In fact, it's a funny French expression to say "a rare¦out norms" thingy…
It's the short form, the full one is "… with blue eyes and golden teeth"
…Text mode is now default for all undetected files. …
• Ah ! OK, finally it's a good idea…

• OK to add the new strings as soon as we'll have the next version…

Scrolling in text mode feels like if someone would try to drag the document in the opposite direction, just like with Adobecrap Reader 6. It is slow as hell.

In RichText mode it feels like if someone would push in the same direction, very smooth, very fast, even better than in TC Lister.

Ghost text-cursor ?

Post by *Clo »

2Alextp

:) Hello again !

• A minor issue :
- Although we have not any text-cursor, the Home¦End keys don't work "as is",
they need + CTRL to reach the top¦bottom of the file.
- I guess they would work like in F3 (when the text-cursor is disabled).
- Currently, supposing that this behaviour be "normal" (I don't think so), we might get at least the beginning¦end of the line.
- In other words, the viewer behaves like having a text cursor, while such a cursor is missing…

They are reserved for "Scroll left 200 pixels"/"Scroll right"
(when horiz scrollbar is shown in Text mode).
To move to start/end of file use Ctrl+Home/End.

I don't see this.
"Sluggish" here meaned this: you jumps not line-by-line, but by several lines. No speed decrease at all. Just visual non-smooth...

It's all of that!
It's slow as hell, it regularly hangs, it's sluggish.

Every of my text editors is faster than the present text mode of your viewer (with reasonable sized documents of course, for example a 1 MB text file). It's sad, but it is like it is, sorry.

If you need an alpha tester for the "disabled calculating and scrollbar resizing"-feature, just drop me a line, thanks.

1.5.0 (25.07.06):
- improved Text mode: now it doesn't use MS RichEdit, so files of any size can be opened. Note: if you find this mode a little slow, try to switch to "old" mode by pressing "8".
- improved Unicode mode: now it has variable line length, Select/Copy commands are supported in it
- added RTF mode, which is an "old" Text mode that uses RichEdit. It's used for RTF and UTF-8 files. Note: UTF-8 files are supported only under Win 2K/XP and must have special signature.
- fixed error in Internet mode when IE 7 is installed
- separate font for OEM codepage, auto-detection of OEM codepage

Version wihout installer is available in first post.

Using ATViewer 1.5.0 beta I wonder why my MATLAB MAT-file Viewer plugin lists all the variables within the MAT-file twice: Image: http://tbeu.totalcmd.net/forum/5mat.png. I believe this issue is new with version 1.5.0 beta and did not occur in previous versions. Did you change something in the WLX interface calls?

No, as I remember.
Strange..
Is it reproducable with WDX/WLX Guide (see on totalcmd.net)? If not, then I indeed changed something.

Alex, it is not reproducable in WLX Guide 1.7.0: Image: http://tbeu.totalcmd.net/forum/5mat_guide.png. Everything is OK here.
