[Bug] Total bytes indications
I found an irregularity in the results when looking for the total amount of bytes in a directory.
Two ways to see that :
1) go into the dir, and select all files, checking the bar below
2) set cursor on dir and hit the spacebar.
The spacebar appears to give a slightly higher number every time, and the difference seems to get growing acoording to bigger content. I did some tests. In the order 1 - 2 :
130 Kb - 134 Kb
2.626 Kb - 2.690 Kb
299.146 Kb - 306.325 Kb
476.777 Kb - 488.220 Kb

Total Commander uses the computer definition of kBytes: 1kByte=1024 Byte, 1MByte=1024kByte.

Good afternoon,
• Like you known this is outdated and doesn't conform the norms applicable since 2005…
- The units you use are DECIMAL officially today !
- It doesn't need a big effort to get the right units; for you, the only change is in the embedded English language.
- In France (and EU I guess), the correct units must be used. There is no problem to update the *.LNG, I did

I dont want to start a flame about binary prefix, but as long as Windows-XP (and also a lot of other programs) shows me at several points (InfoTips, file property pages, ...) the file size calculated as GibiBytes with prefix G instead of Gi, I would prefer a setting in TC, where I can decide how this prefixes should be formatted.
Kind regards
Holger

This is what I mean with "at least optionally".I would prefer a setting in TC, where I can decide how this prefixes should be formatted.
WCMD_ENG.LNG is contained in pdavit's extended menu:

Nothing has changed in the menu since 6.52, so this is the most recent version.
