size for a file over 5 GB is not displayed in the panel

Post by *dacian_herbei »

I have a file with the size over 5 GB and when I looked in the panel where files are displayed the size field is not present.
I suppose it is a bug... :(
I have the latest total commander so I guess this will narrow the search

What OS and filesystem do you use?

TIA

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Perhaps the file has the hidden or system attribute? You need to enable their display first.

well,
it seems he means that the file is shown, but quoting: "the size field is not present"

Ah, I see - I repeat the question of Hacker about the operating system. I regularly use such big files on Win2k and XP, no problems. However, Win9x and WinME don't support files larger than 4 GB.
