two (minor) bugs?

Post by *DarthLocutus »

Hi,
I think I've found two minor bugs in current version (downloaded today).
First is at search dlg. Searching for the TAB-character using the literal "\t" (without quotes of course) in regular expression-mode don't work
without escaping the backslash in search literal "\t" a second time ( --> "\\t").
Other predifined character groups (e.g. "\d" for digits) working fine with its single backslash (including the other literal "\x09" for TAB-character).
Searching the TAB-character using "\t" in non-regEx-mode works also fine.

The second bug is while customizing the lexer library. The library don't recognize the disabling of a lexer as modification. So no save dlg comes up and the disabled lexer is still enabled(with set checkbox of course). Only in combination with another lexer modification the save dlg was shown and the disabled state of a lexer was saved.

But thanks for great work. Especially that the "toogle non-printeble chars" state finally is saved and set again quick viewing next file :D

Here are 2 bug reports:

1. After fixing problem with word wrap Ctrl+W, I have problems with scrolling in files with large lines. Affected is only read-only mode and word wrap = on. Get a test file here: http://rapidshare.com/files/376140261/test.txt.html
If you press down arrow or use mouse wheel, the document is not scrolling down.

2. Replace text in selected area replaces text in entire scope.

Are you already working on Syn based on a newer Ectl version? Or do you wait on a new release on econtrol.ru? I ask because both bugs are in current Syn2 only, but not in Ectl-Demo v2.50 from econtrol.ru.

Alextp, thanks for the update.

I am not sure if you really want to change icons inside application and if you have the time for doing it. But if you want to, I have compiled an icon pack.
http://rapidshare.com/files/376517704/syn2_iconpack.zip.html

All icons are from free icon site www.iconfinder.com
Icons are released under Creative Commons License and are free for non-commercial use. But you have to name authors in readme-file.

These icons are from 2 authors/iconpacks:
1. Gloss Set: Basic Icons: http://momenticons.com
2. Fuge Icons: http://p.yusukekamiyamane.com

If you want to integrate them and need further help I would help you.

Here TC 7.55b2 crashes silently when I press Quick View Ctrl+Q to activate Syn2.1 b220 plugin. b210 did NOT make same TC crash. F3 works fine, no crash. WinXP Pro SP3 English. Thanks.
