Just an quick test:

I downloaded the archive and un-paket it over my last 4.2.0 (XP SP3 with MSO 2003)


Then i start the viewer and opened an doc file (Word2003):

Cannot initialize MS Office control

---------------------------


The green bar / convert to text works for that doc.

• If I remove a pre-installled plugin, it's cleared in the config box, but comes back when restarting UV !

you can *not removed preinst. plugin. You can disable it (checkbox) though.

What do people think, Syn or Syn2 is better to use?

• I didn't mean "Uninstall", I meant that disabling the plug-in (untick the box) has no effect
-this status is not saved- when I close¦restart UV. The plug-in is enabled again by itself.
- That's is very annoying.

What do people think, Syn or Syn2 is better to use?

Personal, I have try with Syn but doesn't work well. It crash on HTML files with HTMLview.wlx plug-ins installed.
With Syn2 everything it's ok.

Please tell me if every plug-ins which exist in the Plugins directory will be load automatically ?

Nope, only syn/ICLView. Syn2 maybe later.

- When UV is closed and I've DISABLED the Syn plug-in, then pessing this button for a *.INI file under the cursor
shows the SYN window again ! But this occurs randomly.
