How do I dettach the console and change the settings so the typing will show. I read through this thread and I must have missed something somewhere. ;)

Full.

V> Yes.

Yep, I got notification. Welcome to the club :).

V> Why?

Well, I wanna be sure that if I ask there a question about TConcole you'll get it :).

BTW, that list language is Russian, so it can be kinda problem for djk, for example to understand us ;). Anyway, all forum members are welcome in WINCOMMANDER and TOTAL_COMMANDER.[/face]

Sorry, i didn't understand your question. What do you mean by "typing will show"?

2Black Dog Damn! I really have no guess! Have you tried to change .ini file location? Do you see any correlation between .ini file location and running TConsole at all?

Why do you think so?
I had to learn Russian over 8 years at school so although I don't use it too often now I still remember something (maybe not too much... but a little). :-)
The biggest problem is to display cyrillic chars correctly and to use them writing.

Well, a lot of Soviet people had to learn German, but they can't tell me what are Rammstein songs about... %)

:) I can't suggest you anything about writing, but if you use "The Bat!" as your mail client you shouldn't have any problems with cyrillic chars display.[/face]

Well, TConsole doesn't work if I use that variable in configuration path. Does it work for you?

V> Nothing special.

I have them all. So what else does it need?! %)[/face]

Does the variable: %COMMANDER_PATH% exist in TC 5.x or in TC 6?

EDITED:

OK, I've found - it's going to be implemented in TC6 - so you are lucky beta tester :-)

When I type something in the console, the letters don't show as I type, only after I hit enter.

What you mean by "configuration path"? Where exactly variable %COMMANDER_PATH% cause the problem? In the registry? in the command launching TC? In some other place?

Did you check dll dependencies on NT with Dependency Walker or Fileinfo plugin? djk, can you put here versions for listed dlls from your NT machine? And for comctl32.dll too?

2Boofo
Right click on TConsole window, select Options item and check "Start in Secure mode".

That worked! Thank you very much. ;)

I need to ask one last question, though. What are the keyboard options used for? And is there any way to copy and paste anything from the clipboard to and from the console? (That's 2 questions, sorry. ;))

They are exactly the same on NT as you wrote above.

For comctl32.dll it looks like below:

C:\WINNT\System32\ADVAPI32.dll
C:\WINNT\System32\USER32.dll
C:\WINNT\System32\KERNEL32.dll
C:\WINNT\System32\GDI32.dll
C:\WINNT\System32\ntdll.dll
