I download from www.totalcmd.net the new version 0.7.1 of 7zip plugin.

The only thing that don't work is the autoinstall of the plugin, because all the files (and also the pluginst.inf) is in a subdir.

Some observations, possibly bugs.

(a) In 0.7.2, when packing a 25-MB exe, the progress bar does not work well, i.e. the progress bar stalls (but works in 0.7.1 packing the same file on the same system).

(b) In both versions, 0.7.1 and 0.7.2, when I use 7z.sfx (version 4.65) to create a self-extracting archive, the original file is deleted unexpectedly (this does not happen when not using the sfx).

(c) In both versions, a sfx 7z archive can be listed but cannot be unpacked with Ctrl+PageDown ('Access Denied on File'). When I rename the exe to *.7z, the file can be unpacked correctly, either with Ctrl+PageDown or by double-clicking and then F5.

Hi, folks.

I received a request to change the title of this thread from "7Zip Plugin 0.5.8 Available" to something else, because it has ceased to be about v0.5.8 a long time ago.

Guess I will remove the version number and call the thread "7Zip Plugin Continued ..." which should be general enough.
