Re: PDF Viewer plugin for TC 64-bit in 2021?
For me the plugin crash not only itself, but the all Total Commmander app, when i try to select some text in the viewed PDF and then try to dismiss the plugin with Esc key. Don't know why... If I don't touch the PDF inside, and only view it and scroll with mouse, it never freeze.
(Plugin 1.7 / Sumatra 3.5.2 / TC 11.02 32-bit / Win 10 Pro 22H2)

Re: PDF Viewer plugin for TC 64-bit in 2021?
Well... Maybe is a faulty setting in the Plugin or the Sumatra config file(s). It happens the same way on two different computers, with the same portable TC.Horst.Epp wrote: 2024-03-22, 09:08 UTC I can't reproduce this problem,

Just tried the prerelease 3.6. The same.

Re: PDF Viewer plugin for TC 64-bit in 2021?
You could try TC 11.03 by simply installing this version over the existing one.
Or maybe try the "64-bit+32-bit combined" version?
You could also use my settings for testing purposes:

Re: PDF Viewer plugin for TC 64-bit in 2021?
This is easy to check. Save the settings file somewhere and delete it in the plugin. The file will automatically create itself and you will be able to control your settings. Don't forget to disable UseTabs and saving browsing history. They interfere with testing.massor wrote: 2024-03-22, 10:44 UTC Maybe is a faulty setting in the Plugin or the Sumatra config file(s).
Re: PDF Viewer plugin for TC 64-bit in 2021?
On a clean TC install, no other plugin than TCSumatraPDF 1.7, it works well. Now... I strongly suspect that it interfere with other of my plugins, best candidate TLister.

Re: PDF Viewer plugin for TC 64-bit in 2021?
I don't use this plugin, but I've read about how glitchy it is. Disable it and check if the problem goes away or not.

Restart TC, e.g. with the command: CM_EXIT 9
After F3 on a *.pdf file Lister (sumatrapdf) shows the content of the selected file.
Re: PDF Viewer plugin for TC 64-bit in 2021?
@tuska
Thank you. For now it works, no more freezes. I haven't defined until now anything under multimedia - view by extension. Now pdf is the only entry (so I don't have anything to order). I'll keep testing. Thanks!
Just a observation. With above settings, it evades TLister umbrella, so it opens separate lister instances when I view multiple pdfs. All other file types (texts, images, etc) still open as tabs. So, my first suspicions about TLister not getting along with Sumatra still remains.

UseTabs = true

Re: PDF Viewer plugin for TC 64-bit in 2021?
No, it's worse. Viewing one pdf now opens 2 tabs, one "Home" tab and another with the viewed pdf. So, waste to much space on top of Lister. And no, viewing another pdf don't open another tab in existing Lister window, but another Lister instance, with another pair of tabs.
I know, I can disable the Home tab, but the problem remains.
So, for now I'm content with viewer multimedia association of pdf with Sumatra WLX.
(Oh, boy, it's so annoying that we cannot post images here directly!)

As your problems are only caused by the very old and buggy TLister plugin
I wouldn't expect much research time from the Author of the SumatraPDF plugin.

And I won’t be able to solve these problems. Just like opening at 3.6 chm in a small window. This is for the SumatraPDF authors to decide. I do not modify the program itself in any way.Horst.Epp wrote: 2024-03-23, 10:26 UTC 2massor

Re: PDF Viewer plugin for TC 64-bit in 2021?
I learned how to maximize a window in the plugin using the SumatraPDF settings. But I can't catch the pattern. I hope I can figure it out.
