Finally v 1.05 beta1 works flawlessly.

I found it is very good to use sqx plugin for attachments. Since all common archive types are filtered on most providers except if you do them with password which is not very interesting if you send attachements every now and then.

I will not comment Xtrician suggestion nor Lefteous answer.

This change doesn't apply to self-extracting language files.   
FIXED:   Language files could not be loaded if the /I parameter has been used to specify a custom-named Total Commander main settings file.  
CHANGED:   Text search in archives has been deactivated. It's not supported currently.   
FIXED:   Adding files to a subdirectory of an archive while the option "Also pack paths names" is unchecked while no longer pack the files to the archive root directory. Instead an error messages is displayed.   
FIXED:   Additional error corrections concerning "Move to archive". If Total SQX couldn't remove all directories a warning is displayed which is not yet translatable.

I'm getting "read access on alternate data stream" errors although no ADS seems to be present (tested with LADS). Any idea ?

Probably you've found the same error, which I've reported in the german TotalSQX thread:

The error occurs with (some) MS Office files (doc, xls), when option Store existing file comments in Store options is enabled. The state of the option Store additional filestreams doesn't matter (and it doesn't matter, if ADS are present or not!).

Uncheck the option Store existing file comments to avoid the error.

To verify, if we talk about the same error, try to pack your files with ZipStar (it's free), please. A similar error (an empty error message, resp.) should be thrown by ZipStar. If ZipStar fails too, the error isn't located in Lefteous' plugin, but in the SQX modules.

I have reported this error to the author of Squeez, ZipStar and the SQX-SDK (Sven Ritter). The problem is under investigation.

Hello van Dusen,
correct, http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=73724#73724 refers to the same error (or should I say the same error condition).
No MS Office installed (use OO 2.0) and the error occurs with different file types than office documents (in my most recent case PPC Hitchhiker 0.4b -> HitchhikerSetup.msi).
You are correct though, Speedcommander (Squeez, ZipStar) does report the same error.
I'll investigate a little more. Thanks for you help.

The packer plugin TotalSQX repacks edited files to an encrypted archive without any problems (you need to enter the password 2 times: once for unpacking and once for repacking)

For solid archives Total SQX asks twice for the unpack password as you described. For non-solid archives the archive password is requested only once. Can you confirm this?

Unfortunately I can't confirm this: Password is requested twice, for solid archives and for non-solid archives as well (I'm using TotalSQX 1.06.beta04).

BTW: Though it is documented, I noticed today for the first time, that TC + TotalSQX.wdx shows some information about SQX-archives in the tooltip (even without having configured it explicit). Magic ! Much more plugins should make use of this option.

Some words about further developement of this plug-in. I will continue to fix bugs in the plug-in. I will enhance the plug-in only if bugs and limitations in both the SQX library and Total Commander will be eliminated.

CHANGED   On activated audio compression critical errors will now be handled by Total SQX instead of Total Commander. To delete the damaged archive file Total Commander still needs to be restarted.

internal repacking is not supported for encrypted zip files.

Thank you for your plugin!
I have some trouble to make it work for both version 1.05 and 1.06.
When I install plugin, and I try to configure or to use it for packing, I reiceive following error message:

"Access violation at address 01401014. Read of address 00000000.
Please report this error to the Author,
with a description of what you were doing when this error occured!
Continue execution?"

I have also tried to completely uninstall, both version 1.05 and 1.06, without any change.
With version 1.03 all was working perfectly. What I have to do?
