StickyNomad,
After further searching, I finally found UnxUtils on sourceforge
Just like henrich.fukna suggested. ;)

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

@StickyNomad:
UnxTools are outdated. Why don't you just extract the utilities you need from http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/?

The basic package is called "CoreUtils".

You don't need to download that 200 MB archive I recommended, that is just a local MIRROR of the complete GnuWin32 site which makes updating much easier.

But, if you prefer old crap over bugfixed versions... ;)

Of course, it was. But that made it useless as there was no link in that post.

XPEHOPE3KA,
made it useless
Nah, it could have sparked a comment like "link please?"... ;)

Not in general :wink: I just feared that this pack you suggested would be like throwing a fridge onto an ant, and the unxtools seemed OK for the little playarounds I have in mind.

I'm actually grabbing the corepack you mentioned and will check it, thanks! :)

GNUwin32 is a nice collection of utilities, but the shell itself is missing. If you want to use the power of bash et al, you have to use Cygwin or others (GNUwin32 FAQ http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/faq.html#How_do_I_run_shell_scripts)
Best regards

Thanks. This seems to be the same package icfu suggested. I
already got it and will test it, think it should suit for me...
