Hitting ESC during the calculation phase does not interrupt the calculation, but the whole copy/move process for me. It definitely worked before version 10 of Total Commander.

No solution for this yet? It is really irritating that the commander count every files on network drive before deleting it...

AFAICS, in TC 10.52 64bit, hitting the ESC button during the deletion calculation phase, stops the counting and shows the delete dialog box.
Pressing 'Delete' or 'All' then immediately starts deleting the files.
