It will become relevant though. The author of XnView has shown some interest on the issue. If he implements an external app of the current Batch Convert feature of XnView it will support other features as well like crop, resize etc. It's part of nconvert anyway which is the corresponding tool to what the batch option of IrfanView does.Sam Zen wrote:It's strictly about conversion of formats here, so editing modifications like cropping or rotation is not relevant.

just my humble thought
As Imagine supports many image types, I would be in favour for it to handle file conversion. At least I would love it
Surely if XnView supports it also, that would be good for those users. I guess there might be more than one way to go.
Only a few people to "solve" this. The respective developers of these programs. Maybe they can shed some light as to what they think of the idea.

I don't know about XNView's nconvert.exe - I was answering yes to NuCov supporting %L
You can find NuCov at http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/nucov.html
NuCov requires IrfanView 3.91 or newer.

Re: Image File Type Conversion Plug-in
Please take a look at this one:pdavit wrote:A plug-in I've been missing is one to convert image file types from one format to another. The typical list should include bmp, jpg, gif, png, tif and any other you might find useful. It would be a nice idea if we could also be able to define the compression ration, subfile type, color depth and the like.

It's main function is to resize image files of a variety of types. The result files can be of different format than the source, therefore, it can be used to convert file types (with a scaling factor of 1).
Yes i know that. I thought nconvert from xnview support %L.petermad wrote:I don't know about XNView's nconvert.exe - I was answering yes to NuCov supporting %L

Anyway, new version of ls2multi works directly with Ifranview, so it should with nconvert also. thx
