Could you test Ctrl+Cursor down instead of using Ctrl+E, please? Or just don't press ENTER?

Here the test results:
1. execute long cmd
2. type in another long cmd
3. execute 2nd long cmd

1. execute long cmd
2. drop down cmd, select it
-> crash
1. execute long cmd
2. ctrl+down (long cmd is back again)
3. press return
-> crash
1. execute long cmd
2. ctrl+e (long cmd is back again)
3. press return
-> crash

In my tests like your tests 3 and 4, the crash already happens in step two, Ctrl+down/Ctrl+e, not when pressing return. But I assume that it's the source of the crash also in your case...

maybe my memory is fighting stronger against access violations
But I'm glad you can reproduce the crash, seems to something that totally depends on the environment. 4 out of 5 computer has no problem here
