How to adjust ?

Post by *Clo »

2Troops
:) Hello !

• Very strange behaviour when I try to adjust the columns widths in Tree :
- No splitter active, only a reverse movement for the histograms lenghts.
- Then, I can't close via Ctrl+Q anymore, I ought close TC… :|

• No LNG in sight ? :P

Hi :)
I think I didn't fully get what you mean. Could you explain a bit more? What is happening and how? ;)
Language files will come in a few days I think. There isn't so much to translate, yet...

Thanks,

What do you mean exactly? Using both plugins at the same time? That's not possible yet, I guess.

Version 0.1.0.38 (Unicode)
* almost full unicode support (besides entry point from Total Commander)
* complete rewrite of Scanning Thread, speedup due to not painting treemaps all the time, speeddown due to reading more info
* remembering some more stuff
* changed column "RealSize" to "Last Access"
* some minor bugfixes

Since this may be even more unstable, another temporary link:

Ah :) This behaviour is result of the "autosize"-function of the tree. I will remove autosize in the next release since this isn't proper behaviour for a TCMD plugin at all...

And 120 DPI !

Post by *Clo »

• Well, but the D&D to change the order of the columns is great, please keep it if possible…

• I “tickle” you about the language simply in order you think to plan controls sufficiently wide for all languages…
Even if there are no many strings to translate. Example :
RealSize=Taille réelle.
- And also to state a decent font in all scripts of the library… :twisted:

• With the Unicode build, I get the TC option allowing 120 DPI for the dialogues ! It's set here as an INI entry :

[Configuration]
OverrideDPI=120.
It isn't really annoying, just an oddness since the previous "Ansi" build did not :D

* D&D will stay
* okay okay... here comes language support, but this is just for testing:
Download the current unicode build from the link above. (there's a new one).
Download http://www.saydoo.net/dirinfolng.zip - there are two examples, one in english, one in german.
Manually put LanguageFile=<FULLPATH> into the config file that is displayed in the Config-Dialog.
I hope this is okay ;)
* That definitely has to do with the unicode support, I will try to fix this - but that's not too simple as I cannot reproduce this...

Not a bug if tweaked

Post by *Clo »

2Troops

:) Hello !
* D&D will stay
• Nice to hear, it works still ! :D

• I made a <language.fr> and stated it like you said in :
K:\TC_7-tests\lsplugin.ini
As :
LanguageFile=k:\TC_7-tests\Modules\DirInfo\language.fr
It works :)

Else :  We miss a translation for the blah-blah in the “About…” dialogue,
and also either active URLs there, or at least controls as editable fields in order to copy them.

• About the 120 DPI :
- You might be able to watch this simply adding the entry in the <wincmd.ini> like I showed above…
It came with Total Commander 7.0 release candidate 4. It doesn't work in TC 6.57.
- Actually, I don't consider it's a bug, I think it's rather an advantage ! Why ?
- Because in the TC-dialogues, I can't get the 120 DPI for the captions of the tabs, while it's there on the ones of DirInfo !
- Ch. Ghisler didn't build the tabs in TC, I guess he uses the Windows ones (so, they stay as 96 DPI),
So, a shortsighted user has a problem to read the captions on the tabs in TC…
Hé, hé ! I would be happy whether Ch. Ghisler'ld use the same code in that case. :wink:
- Currently, supposing we could keep the 120 DPI, you would have just to tweak the position of the strings
in the lower text-area of the Map View, because the characters are a bit truncated at height.
- Strangely, we don't get 120 DPI in the dialogues, only on the “QuickView” panel ! :?

• The adjustment of the columns widths is fixed, thanks !

• Using only the keyboard with Ctrl+Q, there are some hitches with the focus to quit the “Quick View”.
- That doesn't occur when using a button for 2500, one can quit “Quick View” always,
no matter on which panel the focus is :P

- The positions¦widths of the columns are not saved through the sessions…
Yes, the option IS ticked ! :P
- It should be nice to save the position of the splitter,
because we need to enlarge the “Quick View” panel always with the plug-in.
- Even adding simply an INI entry by hand. For example, here I need 80%. In TC, this position is saved in per thousand ()

I am using the keyboard heavily and I am using both plugins:

- DirSize
- DirInfo

In case of using Strg+Q the DirSize plugin is activated due to its higher position in the plugin list.

How can I activate the DirInfo plugin on demand (without changing the plugin position) by using Strg+Q ?

Activate the quickview pane and press <4>; with <4> you can toggle through all plugins, which "feel responsible" for the current selection (in case of a selected directory IEview, VisualDirSize, DirInfo, SciLister for example)

What a shame! I knew that it is that simple, but couldn't remember...... :oops:

I was considering about F4, but that is allocated to F4Menu (and on file level) in my system.
I was that close :wink:

Thank you sooo much!

Please tell me why if VirtualDirSize is before DirInfo <4> it is working perfectly until you reach DirInfo then stops to work. :(
But if DirInfo is before VirtualDirSize <4> it is not working at all ! :evil:

Thanks for testing so far :) I included your languagefile to the package, I hope that is okay.

2Vansumsen
That probably is because dirinfo grabs input itself for navigation etc. This is by design. I will try to find a workaround for this, though.

Version 0.1.0.46
* added support for language files
* included english, german and french (thanks to Clo) languagefiles
* more settings will be stored (e.g. TreeView: Position and width of columns)
* initial support to load other listerplugins as subplungins in tabs (more on that later on)
* TreeMap is only rendered on demand now, causing a slightly speed up (improved since last version)
* again some more unicode support
* changing of colors / extensions possible by doubleclicking them
* minor bugfixes

Updated both filelinks to this Version.

Thank you for the new version. And indeed the filesize>4GB-bug is fixed now. Thanks for this too!

Danish translation can be downloaded from:

http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/dirinfo01046danish.zip

If I import color schemes trom TC it is not possible to only import some of them, they will all be imported even though I have to accept them one by one.

No matter how many color schemes I import, dirinfo always says that I have imported -2 (minus 2)!

It is not possible to delete all colors - one will always be left.

Names of deleted color schemes are not deleted from lsplugin.ini when deleted in the Settings dialog.

NewExtensionCaption, NewExtensionRequest and ImportMessage are not present when < English > is chosen as language - they work OK with .lng files
