Whats the point of having a exe ?
Autohotkey is enough for that type of programming.

I don't see any speed difference between this app and MRT, at least, not noticable. And speed was never of a problem. You wont typically convert 10 zillion files every hour, but more like 10 - 20 per day. Does that compute to you?

Delphi ? Why delphi ? C is better, everybody knows that ASM even better. I can point you to the place where you will look ridiculuos, and everything you did in your life so far.


Anyway girls, I don't understand the point of this show-off. If you don't like it , don't use it and do whatever you think its good for you.

Good programmer was never about programming language anyway - its about choosing the right tool for the job.

You can compile it in exe if you want. I don't like exe's. If I can't change it asap, it has lower value to me.

1 second loss for startup for extremely rarely needed features. I don't use the script because for me it's not worth it, at least yet. In case that I found it useful, I know where to search, but I don't really expect it to happen.

AHK is great for 1 time jobs. And good for some other cases like Windows scripting, though only because most other languages suck here. Otherwise anything that doesn't need to make a complex engine initialization is better.
Not compiled, it's worthless for great majority of potential users, it should definitely be standalone. But then it has issues with antiviruses. No, IMO AHK was not the best choice. Not even good.

ADDED: BTW in my previous post I didn't want to discredit your programming skills, but point out that we have somebody who would be good for this task among us.

I must say that I agree with majkinetor 100%. If you dont like it dont use it. For me, I can do something now, that I couldn't with TC for as long as it exists. Speed issues are ridiculous...

On 2.4 Ghz CPU it converts 5000 files with pattern having 100 AHK (integrated) plugins in less then 2 minutes.

That is scenario far from the typical as u will normally use no more then 10 plugins and far less files.
