Actually the next beta will use the arrow keys in the quick search box except when in brief view mode. In thumbs view, the up/down arrows scroll sideways to the next/previous match, so left/right isn't needed.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Oh oh. I just read your suggestion again and fully understood it for the first time.Hacker wrote:How about this one? Quicksearch / filter keyboard navigation

Previously I didnt understood how you came to a win+key shortcut.
It is a really nice addition to navigate the filelist with win+keys and to edit the control normal. Support++.
From my list above I would else prefer the solution:
myself :-) wrote:Ignore the needs to change the filelist, because it could be navigated after pressing ESC. (often its also reduced to very few entrys -> so navigation is not needed anymore)

I'm not in favor of using the Win key as a modifier here:
1. Most people will never figure that out
2. The Win key is normally used for the system, so using it for someting by default is risky - Windows may suddently claim it for itself. It's OK to let the user redefine it, though...

Good evening,
4. Some users disable the Win keys in the registry to avoid a lot of snags from fingers slips (i.e. : Myself)…

Well, ok, internal commands then, for the actions described in Quicksearch / filter keyboard navigation?ghisler(Author) wrote:I'm not in favor of using the Win key as a modifier here:
