For the first time I tried your program a minute ago. It works like expected with "%T%M %P%S". (V 3.9)
You seem to have a very special taste of design and colors.
It worked as expected, and incredibly, the parameters in the test box were always 100% correct!
Maybe Christian will jump in again...
It seems like its not a bug in TC. I dont like TC UP. Its so huge and I dont know if the many programs and plugins in it interfere with each other.
Edit:
s2 := s1; // for debugging
Is this line in your code correct? Or do you have to remove it?
Sorry for the late reply... Restore took ages and this morning I did many tests before coming here. I'll first answer your Qs and then report new results:
>> Do you know what it does? IMO you should not adopt it.
[%T%R] Of course, Ch. Was very clear. I meant adopt it for other uses. Thanks.
>> use a divider parameter like "%T%R -D %P%S" in your script)
Ah! Another new concept for me... I'll check it. Thanks again.
>> Obviously the folder "D:\TC Ultima Prime\EG_CopyToTabs" ... (The folder has spaces.) When you tried the other Computers did you tested it at the same folder?
Identical structure... Absolutely.
Besides, I installd Beta8 in d:\TC7B8 this morning for testing. It worked the first time and then the bad behaviour appeared !!!
>> [the ?] But its only meant for debug.
It worked as expected, and incredibly, the parameters in the test box were always 100% correct! This means that it is my program that "corrupts" them, and it is NOT the case. A BIG Mystery.
This morning I unzipped my full \TC Ultima Prime from July 31st backup - -just before upgrading to Beta8- and updated the CopyToTabsEXE to the latest (this morning's, v3.9) version, and.... It works perfectly !!!
It is in a "\TC Ultima Prime OLD" directory; and beta 8 in "\TC Ultima Prime" on the same disk and does NOT work !!!
Those are this morning's test results. Weird ???
I am completely out of ideas... Maybe Christian will jump in again...
Thank you for having tried the program. Is this v3.9? I changed the screen layout for horizontal lists to be more "classical" despite the small loss of space.
As for my aesthetics... I never bragged about that <G>.
I use colours in order to differentiate different screen areas and subjects. I prefer to stick with standard colours, so as to be sure the programs look the same on most graphic cards and screens combinations.
>> Maybe Christian will jump in again...

No, as I said the ? showed me, but Christian has helped me once or twice in "normal" Dzlphi problems...
>> I dont like TC UP. Its so huge and I dont know if the many programs and plugins in it interfere with each other.
I like it for just this reeason... I can take it with me on a USB Disk-On-Key and have my "vital" utilities with me.
I never update UP as they suggest because I made too many changes. I only update selected stuff. (I install it in a new directory and then compare, or use their changes.log ]
>> s2 := s1; // for debugging
>> Is this line in your code correct? Or do you have to remove it?
If you can see it I HAVE to remove it <G> Thank you.
I couldn't find this anywhere... Where do you see this ???

Ah! Of course it is removed... I thought you saw it in the program's execution <G>
BTW: Here is the current config:
D:\TC Ultima Prime OLD - Working perfectly TC Beta 7
D:\TC 7.5b8 - Plain install of Beta 8 - NOT working
D:\TC Ultima Prime - Normal TC UP install with Beta 8 - NOT working

It never WAS a problem. I used it only for debugging and it showed the parameters... See my edited previous for the directory structures currently on my computer...
Of course I can... But it is not at all in my habits. I can discuss it with you in Mail, answer questions, but unless I wrote it for publication (some samples are on my site) I do not. Sorry.
Ah, thank you very much. But this too is not in my habbits... and my habits started forming back in 1981...
>> ... As you stated
I also stated in the same thread: "This morning everything returned to normal", so I certainly don't believe it is a real bug in my program. Also only one user reported a similar problem.
>> You may also discuss it per mail if you want, but in the forum more people can look over it.
I have nothing much to discuss, sorry, and the parameter code has already been posted here. You even referred to part of it as a possible problem (which it was not) - thank you.
BTW the main unit is about 2000 lines (including empty ones) and the parameters stuff about 15, hardly justifying sharing the code as you previously asked...
