I don't think such bar is needed or the programming effort is justified. You can do the same with the current button bar of TC, it's just a very little more tricky.

And if you don't like the tabs, anyway, you could always disable them so that TC would continue to function as prior to 6.0...

This is your opinion, but other users have different opinions than yours...
I know very well how use the TC button-bars for more than five years...
Please, remember that many users prefer to keep the bar for other purposes than call dirs... And all have not a 21" monitor allowing a high definition to show forty icons in a single bar.
Moreover, the current behaviour of TC button-bars causes some problems... Please, check several recent threads about this subject, before to proclaim a definitive and negative opinion.
