The reason is: TC is NOT REGISTERED!! (ok that was a joke)
I dont see any second progress bar, but my TC behaves exactly like yours. The progress bar supposes to show the progress of ONE file :-( but, moving is fast, so no screen update is visible. I agree, the progress of the files would be more reasonable.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

OK, i managed to reproduce TWO 0% progressbars :)

Here's a nice movie of it again. The title bar isn't very well visible, but believe me, it's TC 6.01 this time.

This also shows *why* a progress is neccesary while moving on the same volume. It is not always that fast. Especially with large directories and a large number of files. That's because records within the physical directory files need to be moved to another, which may cause fragmentation and a decrease in speed...

The video quality seems to be quite bad. What about better quality? I use Microsoft Video 1, low frame rate and zip the file after recording for this purpose.

The point was to show two 0% progressbars, I think the video does that quite well. I don't see how better quality would help... Were the files come from is probaly well visible (search results) and the names and directories of them son't matter that much, do they?

:)   Hello!
• You are right, it's quite blurred...
¤ However, when starting, I saw an upper (total) progress-bar, which disappared quickly. This's strange...
• What about that?

Moving from a search result to somewhere is a real problem.

But ask yourself, have you really described your problem well from the start?

Well I was confused myself when I could reproduce the problem, and I didn't realize that moving from search results is sooo different from any other move action. It's still just a move, on the same volume, to existing directories.

So technically I described it quite well, apart from the search results part :)

But, can it be fixed in TC (both problems I mean)?
