drive letter upcase/low case

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

I just prefer conciseness to politeness. :D

Karl, your posts are organized and clear usually but sometimes even such post may be missed. Just take it easy, the more posts you have, the more misunderstood posts you have. It happens with you, me, Hacker and many other people.

Hello karlchen,
Only a jest, with me joining the ranks of people ignoring your posts (which I am obviously not). Basically, I wanted to give you the impression of being invisible. ;) No offence.

Hello, Vitaly.

Thanks for your kind words. Agreed, being ignored does not only happen to me.

Cheers,
Karl

Hello, Roman.

I knew pretty well why you wrote what you wrote.
Just felt like I had to ventilate my frustration because almost the same thing happened to me in two different forums within a single day.

Cheers,
Karl

I still think TC have some problems with it...

Can someone test this steps?
1. load TC
2. press Ctrl-P
-- in address field I've got "C:\" (upcased drive letter)
3. press Esc
4. change drive on any else
5. change drive on drive C: again
6. press Ctrl-P
-- in address field I've got "c:\" (lowcased drive letter)

Do you want to tell me this is OS return different results?

SailorMax, as it has been said, TC doesn't care about drive letter case if you don't have above mentioned variables set. Usually OS returns results in same case as it is requested.
