Usher,
That should be requested by the thread starter.

Request after 7 years? You must be kidding. If you feel it's really needed, just ask the original poster on your own, please. Explain that topic titles should be more helpful for newbies rather than misleading.
2Hacker, 2tbeu
Now my second proposition: Split the topic.
Move new messages (2019 year only) concerning SetFolderDate only and create separate topic for this plugin. There is NO such a topic so far in this subforum.

Many thanks. Could you also change titles in all messages in both topics, please? Currently search results are still misleading.

Re: <UTIL> Change timestamp of whole dir-trees folders to youngest file
Usher,
The messages themselves do not have any titles. Do you want me to add a "Re: <UTIL> Change timestamp of whole dir-trees folders to youngest file" title to all the messages in this thread one by one and similarly a "Re: [WCX] SetFolderDate" to the ones in the other thread?

Re: Change title/subject of whole thread or some messages
Title and Subject are synonyms to me. Replies moved from the old forum have no titles, but new forum software add title (Subject) to any message. Any poster (in own messages) and moderator (in the whole topic/thread) can modify the subject, f.e. add keywords if needed for better search. Go to the top of this page, scroll down to the bottom and you will see…
It should be done dependent on a message content. IMHO in this thread you should modify existing subjects in messages on the first page, before my first posting here. It starts discussion about REDATE (which now is off topic here) so newer subjects may stay unchanged.Hacker wrote: 2020-01-09, 18:12 UTCDo you want me to add a "Re: <UTIL> Change timestamp of whole dir-trees folders to youngest file" title to all the messages in this thread one by one
Yes, for all the messages there.Hacker wrote: 2020-01-09, 18:12 UTCand similarly a "Re: [WCX] SetFolderDate" to the ones in the other thread?
Thanks in advance.

True, didn't notice that.Replies moved from the old forum have no titles, but new forum software add title (Subject) to any message.
What should I write? "Re: <UTIL> Change timestamp of whole dir-trees folders to youngest file"?in this thread you should modify existing subjects in messages on the first page

Re: Change title/subject of whole thread or some messages
Of course, they're on topic. If you have autocomplete option turned on in your browser, it will be fast – see Subject in my message again.Hacker wrote: 2020-01-10, 22:00 UTCWhat should I write? The other topic seems to be OK now, thanks again.

Re: <UTIL> Change timestamp of whole dir-trees folders to youngest file
I am using
SetFolderDate plugin 1.2.0.0 for Total Commander
do I guess right that I can't set a list of files to be ignored?

Re: <UTIL> Change timestamp of whole dir-trees folders to youngest file
SetFolderDate 1.5 can do this.mikedepetris wrote: 2020-03-19, 17:33 UTC I am using

There is a section [Ignorelist] in SetFolderDate.ini
Option:
☑ Only evaluate files that are NOT in the Ignorelist (translated from German language)
But I have never tested it myself, because I have not had any need for it until now.
EDIT: At some point, I must have dealt with this...
Code: Select all
[Ignorelist]
1=descript.ion
2=files.bbs
3=thumbs.db
4=desktop.ini
5=folder.ico
6=*.bak

Re: <UTIL> Change timestamp of whole dir-trees folders to youngest file
Then it is no problem to use SetFolderDate V1.5 (2011-07-20) - 32 bit.mikedepetris wrote:I see it's 32 bit only, I usually run TC x64
See also: Difference between 32bit and 64bit
At that time, however, I sometimes experienced a time problem of 1 hour with SetFolderDate V1.5 and have no longer used it.

You cannot use a 32-bit plugin in a 64-bit TC.Then it is no problem to use SetFolderDate V1.5 (2011-07-20) - 32 bit.
