Cannot reproduce problem with TC8.50b5 x64, Windows 7 Pro x64.

Tested on the following devices:

USB 2.0 HDD (NTFS)
USB 3.0 HDD (NTFS)
RAID-0 Volume (NTFS, Intel Z77 chip-set RAID)
USB 2.0 Stick (FAT32)
RAM Disk (imdisk, NTFS, configured as "removable media device").

Both panes always updated within very small period of time. (Auto-Refresh ofcourse enabled.)

Petermad seems right, I can reproduce it on Win7-64 with TC8.5b5 & flash disk P :

1) rename tc850x32_64_b5.exe as tc850x32_64_b5.zip
2) extract INSTALL.CAB file inside tc850x32_64_b5.zip into P:\TC
3) Open windows explorer and go to P:\TC
4) Double click TOTALCMD.EXE in windows explorer
5) Set TC's panels to P:\
6) Create button which executes P:\Test.vbs

Press the button -> No refresh in both panels

Same thing happened with TOTALCMD64.EXE.

EDIT2 > I never installed TC on my PC (portable usage).
EDIT3 > WatchDirs=3

EDIT4> I have a mistake. I forgot to put UseIniInProgramDir=7 with WatchDirs=3 in fresh ini. Sorry...

I could not confirm too.

Unfortunately I still can't reproduce your problem with a freshly started TC. You wrote:
BUT if TC is freshly started when I do the test, NONE of the file panels are updated at all. This applies to both 32- and 64 bit version of TC
Other users couldn't reproduce it either. Can you give us more details about the file not showing up? Maybe it's on a drive with no refresh support?

I can no longer reprroduce the bug under Windows 7 x64 with TC 8.5 b7.

But it is not testet under quite the same conditions: Previous tests was done writing to an USB dongle, the latest tests are done writing to an USB memory card in an internal card reader. Unfortunately I currently don't have an USB-dongle here at the hospital.

OK, just test it when you are back! It may be a timing problem (slow USB stick).

I have now testet with the same USB-stick, which previously showed the bug. I can no longer reproduce the bug (TC 8.5b8)

Testet with both 32bit and 64bit TC under Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8.

So I think the bug can be considered fixed :-)

OK, I will move it to fixed bugs for now. Please create a new thread if you can again reproduce it somehow.
