Some small changes could make the homepage more readable. Instead of this, it could look like this.

What do you think of my suggestion? These are minor changes but enhance the homepage’s readability and user engagement.
  • The streamlined title ("Total Commander, Shareware file manager for Windows® 3.1 through Windows® 11") feels less overwhelming.
  • Separating the version number as "Latest final version: 11.51" reduces clutter and helps users find this information easily.
  • Bolded headings create a clear visual hierarchy, allowing users to quickly identify key information.
  • Presenting links in bulleted lists with a header improves clarity and encourages clicks for more details.

Your suggestions look good, what do other users think? This poll is about some other changes, so I can't use it as an indication.

I think the proposed changes go in the right direction. They remove redundant information and thus increase clarity. Still, I would take away some of the text elements.

I would still focus on the list of main functions and rearrange the items so that they form logical groups and are ordered from most important. I would remove obsolete or now common functions from the list (e.g. USB port connection) and shorten the list to say 10 bullets.

Of course, it would be good to make more adjustments: Sample

I like that you replaced the comma with a dash in the title. In that case it would probably be better to leave out the dot at the end, so it becomes:
Total Commander - Shareware file manager for Windows® 3.1 through Windows® 11

I think there are a lot of things to improve on Christian's site. Some links should be more emphasized (e.g. Download, Support, What's new page) - at least a basic analysis should be done.

What I would definitely do right away is to emphasize the most important content on the site. For example, there is a lot of content on the Download page, but the first three links are the most important. Mirros are less important and the rest can be suppressed. A simple edit without having to add some complex graphic elements could make the page more clear. Quick draft

Of course, it would take some work. It would be up to Christian if he would be interested in having us do more on this. I'd like to help.
