It was perceived as a bug, otherwise browny wouldn't have filled this bug-report.
An yes it's a workaround (maybe the same which explorer is using to refresh his file list).
Perhaps overlays may explain why file size was being updated in my quick ISO download test today...
Well, it is not the case... I've tested with completely disabled icons in TC and file size was still being updated while Firefox was downloading ISO image...
