Yes, the flash is caused by the call to certain icon functions - it seems that the first call to one of the Windows icon functions causes a reset/refresh of the icon cache, don't ask me why...Interstingly enough If I open TC with two empty folders under Windows 10, and I the leave the empty folder - I see the flash.
