Please consider adding a wincmd.ini parameter to set a path to help file used in dark mode (e.g. DarkModeHelp=).

Instead, I could also just look for a help file with a specific name, e.g.
normalname_dark.chm
or so. What do you think?

That's what I suggested in earlier post, and it's better because it will allow to auto use dark help translated to TC language, if such one is installed.

Looks pretty good, but colors seem to be non-default (or they are degraded by limited GIF 256-color palette). Two gifs aren't in English: SCHHEAD3.gif (Alt+F7 Find Files: Advanced) and SYSINFO.gif (Commands -> System Information).

That is right - I have now fixed the colors for background, text and lines, so it is the same in all images.

That should also be fixed now.

And I have set the background color of the help itself to the same as TC's default background color (it was changed in beta 6 from RGB=16,16,16 to RGB=32,32,32 - and I never updated that in the dark help) .

That's the idea - I cannot make black background at the menu items (windows bug), so personally I don't think it looks so good, thats why I provide 2 verisons - this is the only difference between the two versions.

I think Usher meant the problem is that it's black instead of RGB:32,32,32.
Edit: "Mark" menu on dark picture in help doesn't seem to be clickable.
Edit 2: There is a difference in System information dialog dark and normal pictures: dark one have Hardware tab active, while normal picture doesn't have active tab - which is more correct since they're all clickable in help. The same applies to some other dark pictures with tabs, like one of Find Files dialog.

Well, that if how the System information dialog opens up in Dark mode - it is not possible to get a screenshot with all Tabs disabled.

Actually it is the same in Normal mode - consider that the screenshots in the official help are VERY old - and I think the image in the official help is a mockup, because here is how it looks back in TC 3.03: https://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/tc303sysinfo.png - also here Hardware tab is active. And here is how the 3.03 help looks: https://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/tc303sysinfohelp.png (TC 3.03 is from 1997!)

It doesn't make sense if there is not an active tab - if not then the dialog should start with a blank tab.

Sure. Otherwise any tab of SysInfo should have its own picture. Maybe it would be a better solution?

Yes, it's mockup, which should be easier to make now using background tabs of main window file panel by giving them names of tabs used in TC dialogs.

I only see little reason to change the "System Info" image and the "Search" image - now they show what the user actually see when opening those dialogs. On the other hand the user can click on the "tabs" in the image and the help will change, but the first item stays checked - so...?

Looks good, thanks. I added an anchor to wiki page to acces an entry of dark chm help directly: List_of_unreleased_plugins#engdarkchmhelp, so in future you can update direct download link(s) there and post above link here as download source.
