Not personally, but I've got a friend that has it working on a Linux server.

As I have read, it doesn't provide an on-the-fly scanner, as it's a Windows frontend for the command-line clamav version.

But I think it can be an interesting on-demand file scanner (I never liked real-time scanners).

Yes, It lacks huge amounts of (old) virus decriptions.
It still has some issues with false positives

I use
http://www.clamwin.com/
on windows.

It has an outlook plugin which works ehm, well it works.

You can schedule updates by the hour or whatever:
------------------------------
ClamAV update process started at Tue Dec 14 21:02:40 2004
main.cvd is up to date (version: 28, sigs: 26630, f-level: 3, builder: tomek)
daily.cvd updated (version: 629, sigs: 1718, f-level: 3, builder: tkojm)
Database updated (28348 signatures) from database.clamav.net (195.70.36.141).

So it's a nice secondary scanner

I agree.

I use avast! 4 Home Edition for about a year. It blocked many e-mail viruses and I never got any other viruses too.

I tryed NOD32 too, and I liked it also.

Symantec AntiVirus 9.x is good :) take not much resources as Norton AntiVirus does.

Nowadays I swear by NOD32 which I've been using for the last couple of years, it does what a AV program should do and not all the other junk that Norton and others do. Last but not least the licensiing is quite cheap.

It can be found and tested at http://www.nod32.com.

NOD 32 is my AV. I like it a lot, because it's efficient and cheap.

I'm also using avast! 4. It's free and it does the job well.
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

As for convenience: new virus definitions are dowloaded automatically, I'm only asked for the update of the software. After 1 click that's done automatically as well.

I'll definitely take a closer look to ClamAV as well, as soon as they get close to 1.0.
