copy/paste in Compare by contents edit mode does not work correctly

I couldn't get any crashes with your ini file either (ctrl+c in your ok.txt). Maybe it really depends on the file?

I do get the wrong encoding, and that's because of
CompCharSet=0

Please try changing that to
CompCharSet=238
