and shows all the extra keyboard shortcuts etc, that you have added.
Could you try with some otther .mnu file from the installer like wcmd_deu.mnu - to see if that works.
What is the size in bytes of your wcmd_wng.mnu file? It should be 5072 bytes or maybe 5074 bytes
if you have a blank line in the end - if not the file may be in the wrong format."
Well, NOW TC9 is (finally) reading/using my .mnu file ...
So, thanks for your time/help with these "install" issues ...
I'll see what (if any) issues arise in the next 30days ...
Is customizing (adding/removing/"renaming items in") the TC ContextMenu possible ???
Thanx again ...

2="New folder (directory)"
1089="&View"
1095="&Properties"
1439="New"
1718="Configure..."
1734="Pack files"
And then select "English (WCMD_ENG.LNG)" in TC's Language configuration (don't select "English") - when you do that wcmd_eng.mnu will automatically be selected as menu file.
You can now edit the items in WCMD_ENG.LNG to your liking.
So, I'm back ... already ...
I encountered/remembered a(nother) issue with "porting" from 7.55a ...
My CustomColumnViews are not (initially?) "porting" ...
I (previously) installed a handful of .wdx/content plugins
& created thirteen (13) CustomColumnViews;
however, only columns from default _tc content options
are "working"/displaying in TC9x ...
What am I "missing" (doing wrong?) now ???
From the "Content plugins" dialog it looks like you should have 5 plugins installed. But that only shows what is registered in the [ContentPlugins] of your wincmd.ini file - but the files in thos directories might not be there, if you failed to copy them.
Also - and probably more likely, TC 7.55a was 32 bit, so your old plugins will be 32bit plugins, they do not work with 64bit TC. So you either have to install/run 32bit TC to use your old plugins, or you have to download and install 64bit versions of your plugins (most plugins are for both bitnesses now)

So, the/my existing PlugIn files were there in the TC9x64 "Install"
The PlugIn InstallProcedure was/is not (crystal) clear to me ...
SO, I manually added/removed PlugIn files and manually tweaked
(based on previous/existing entries) the WinCmd.ini file ...
Everything is (seemingly) working ...
Re: the PlugIn InstallProcedure:
Clicking "Install" on the .inf file does NOT do the install ...
I just created the SubDir specified in the .inf file
and copied over only the x64 plugin file ...
and manually tweaked (based on previous/existing entries) the WinCmd.ini file ...
